He was at the forefront of this campaign since 1989 - from the time Domino P. Sc. Plc., UK, appointed Bradma of India Ltd as their sales & service agents in India. He worked in close coordination with some of the policy-making bodies such as The Bureau of Indian Standards and The Weights & Measures department, in India, in promulgating various coding- and packaging-related legislations: Elimination of stickers to print the Manufacturing & Expiry dates, and The Edible Oil Awareness campaign - Ban the sale of loose oil, to name a few. |
Joseph, graduated in Commerce from Loyola College, affiliated to the Madras University, in the year 1979. Then, he successfully served his apprenticeship as an articled clerk, from 1980 with M/s Fraser & Ross as part of studies in Chartered Accountancy. The year 1986 marked the beginning of his professional career in the areas of marketing and sales. After having gained initial experience in Chennai and Bangalore, he was promoted in 1989 as Divisional Manager - Domino Inkjet Printing Division at New Delhi with Bradma, then a Tata Group company. In 1996, he moved to Kolkata, as Regional Manager with Domino Printech, a newly-formed Indian subsidiary of Domino Printing Sciences plc, UK. The year 1998 saw him move up the pyramid as Head Marketing - Packaging Machinery Division, of Flex Industries, a Rs.1000-crore group.
