USP PACKAGING SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED - an organization headquartered in Chennai, Southern India - was incepted in the year 2001 as a consultancy outfit with the prime objective of providing effective solutions to the Indian packaging industry in the field of product coding and marking.

The Company’s President and CEO, Joseph R. Kishore, is a thoroughbred professional in the area of packaging and product coding and marking, having served the industry for over a period of close to 20 years prior to establishing his own venture in USP.

Modest beginnings saw USP tide over the initial 4 years of its operations in the industry, until, in the year 2005, SIMACO GmbH of Germany - a world leader in industrial marking fluids - appointed the Company as a distributor (and, eventually, the sole distributor for the SAARC region) for its world-class SIMACOLOR range of products.

Thus began USP»s meteoric growth that has led the Company to what it is today - over 2200 installations that feature printers like DOMINO, IMAJE and WILLETT which smoothly run on SIMACOLOR fluids. This apart, USP provides complete solutions, technical support, post-sales service and spares to the industry through supply/servicing of printers and accessories.

This growth was instantly noticed and carefully scrutinised by LINX Printing Technologies Limited, a UK-based organisation and a pioneer in the field of inkjet printing that is part of a Fortune 500 Group and a global leader in coding systems. Three visits and several rounds of discussions later saw LINX appoint USP as an authorized India distributor for their entire range of coding systems; this, in spite of another Indian company which is already an existing LINX representative but one that has not made any significant mark in the industry to this day.

So far as sale of LINX printers is concerned, USP had devised plans to sell 250 printers in the first year, 400 in the second and 800 printers in the third year of representation. However, due to unforeseen circumstances USP had to decline the renewal of Distributor agreement offered by LINX. It was a hard decision, Nevertheless, USP decided to part ways with LINX rather than opt for mundane gains which are temporal.

USP today stands tall in the coding / marking arena with it’s co-branded USP-EC300 / 400 series inkjet printers. Thanks largely to its excellent client base that features the who’s-who in the Indian packaging and FMCG industry.

USP is well and truly committed to fructifying these goals and is fully geared with its team of highly-skilled and dedicated engineers, staff, strategic partners and business associates to take on the daunting challenges posed by the industry and script success stories in the days to come
